About the Preschool Program at The ChildTime®
At The ChildTime®, our Preschool Program (4–6 years old) is where children truly begin to think, create, and lead their own learning journey.
Using Project-Based Learning (PBL), children explore real-world themes through hands-on experiences that build curiosity, creativity, and confidence. This approach aligns with the Kurikulum Prasekolah 2026 (KPM), which emphasises kompetensi, nilai, dan kesejahteraan insan nurturing learners who can think critically, communicate effectively, and act with empathy.
Many parents ask, “Kalau belajar ikut projek, anak masih belajar membaca dan menulis ke?”
The answer is yes literacy and numeracy are still taught, but in more meaningful ways. Instead of rote memorisation, children learn through stories, play, observation, and inquiry connecting language and numbers to real situations that make sense to them.
Our program is guided by The ChildTime HEART™ Framework fostering Holistic development, Excellence, Accountability, Responsible Tech habits, and Togetherness preparing every child to become a confident and balanced learner ready for the next stage of life.
“From projects to purpose — where every child learns with heart.”)?

What is Project-Based Learning (PBL)?
Preschool is a big year. We’ve designed our program to give you complete confidence in every aspect of your child’s experience; from health and safety; to ready-for-school curriculum; to the full support of experienced teachers. Just as important, our program is based on what research says best prepares children for kindergarten and all the big steps ahead.
At The ChildTime®, we believe children learn best when they explore, ask questions, and make discoveries through real experiences.
That’s what Project-Based Learning (PBL) is all about turning everyday curiosity into meaningful learning.
Instead of memorising facts or filling out worksheets, children engage in real projects like exploring how plants grow, setting up a mini market, or creating a recycled art gallery. Each project begins with a big question, investigated together with teachers as guides and co-learners.
Through PBL, children naturally develop:
- Critical Thinking – asking questions, making connections, and solving problems
- Collaboration – working as a team and learning from one another
- Creativity – expressing ideas through art, storytelling, and hands-on exploration
- Communication – sharing discoveries confidently through talk, drawing, and presentation
Aligned with the Kurikulum Prasekolah 2026 (KPM) and The ChildTime’s HEART™ Framework, our PBL approach nurtures 21st-century skills helping children grow into confident, curious, and compassionate learners ready for the world ahead. 💛
How Play is Part of Learning
Play is the heart of every project at The ChildTime®. When children play, they are not “just playing” they’re experimenting, discovering cause and effect, building imagination, and learning how to work with others.
Through guided play, our teachers observe children’s interests and design projects around what excites them. For example:
- 🎨 A child curious about colours might start an art-based project.
- 🪴 A class interested in nature might create a mini garden together.
- 🧮 Counting toy fruits in a pretend market becomes a fun way to learn math.
- Reggio Emilia Classroom Inspired: Real tools and materials to tinker, construct, and explore weight, balance, strength, and texture
Every game, story, and hands-on activity connects back to key learning goals literacy, numeracy, social-emotional growth, and 21st-century skills that prepare them for the future.
At The ChildTime®, play is not a break from learning it is how learning happens.
